This module provides an overview of Power BI Desktop, Microsoft’s primary tool for creating custom BI solutions using the Power BI service. Students will learn how to install and configure Power BI Desktop. Next, the module provides students with an introduction to working with the Power Query features and the Power Pivot features provided by Power BI Desktop which are essential to building custom BI solutions. The modules also explains the PBIX file format used by Power BI Desktop for publishing projects as well as the process used to create reports to publish them to the Power BI service.
