60 TONS OVER THE EDGE!!! AND WE SINK OUR 9055!!!

Описание: We got a call to a local lumber mill for a walking-floor trailer loaded with sawdust—grossing about 120,000 lbs—that was "Hangin Over the Edge." The driver missed the shelf in the dark, dropping the left side off a 6-foot drop into some incredibly soft, wet sawdust.

Ethan had a plan to get behind it with the 9055XL to lift and level while I pulled with the 1150R. I had a bad feeling about the ground conditions, but we decided to give his plan a shot. It didn't take long before we realized just how soft that pile was—we sank the 9055XL right to the frame before he could even get in place.

After a self-recovery on our own rig, I went to work with the 1150R Rotator. I rigged up a modified tail wrap with dual 2:1 lines to the front trailer axle using RimSlings for lift and pull. Between the 1150R and Ethan providing an assist pull from the front, we managed to walk this 60-ton load back onto the hard pack.
