In this video I have explained first why the Ahmedabad Mill Strike occurred in 1918. The Plague Bonus was withdrawn by the Mill Owners of Ahmedabad and appropriate compensation was not being provided to them. Gandhiji decided the demand of 35% as dearness allowance to be just and inspired the workers for Satyagraha to get their demand fulfilled. Gandhiji even sat on fast unto death to strengthen the workers resolve towards their cause. Please watch the video for more details.
