In this video we will be setting up a Tak.gov account, downloading the ATAK app (two different sources for options) and a plugin.
Sound like a lot, I know, but let’s dive into it and take it one step at a time.

We have to get the ATAK app itself, at the time of this video version 4.5. is on the android market. As for me, I did not like the version so I wanted to use the 4.4, well how do we get that? Glad you asked, but let’s follow along.

First the Tak site to get our account setup.

In that site you will need an authenticator, this might be a little different depending on your internet browsers of choice, I used Firefox.
Here is a link to one that worked for me.

(For mobile devices it can be found in the App Store with a simple search and Install)

Once in the Tak website we can download the ATAK apk file as well as the WASP Plug-in apk file.

We will need the WASP plugin in a later video but why not just get it now while we are here at the site and plan to install many others. (The WASP can be obtaining in the app store just make sure it is the right one for the version of ATAK you are using.)
