Описание: Long-time revolutionary socialist activist and historian Sandra Bloodworth leads a celebration of the 1871 Paris Commune, when the workers and soldiers of Paris took over the city for two months, implementing a range of progressive reforms and abolishing the rule of the capitalist class. 150 years on, the Commune stands as the first-ever demonstration of what a society run by workers could look like, and the courageous struggle of the Communards offers lessons about how to fight for it.

This talk was given at Socialist Alternative's Marxism Conference, a five-day event which took place over Easter 2021, welcoming more than 1300 attendees from across Australia to discuss how we can fight capitalism and win a world free of exploitation and oppression.
