Good Evening, I’m Rogie Delena, and I’ll be joined today by three professionals I truly admire—Mers Bontao, Don De Vera, and Dawn Solayao. Each of us comes from different industries, but we all share one thing in common—we’ve seen how powerful the role of a Business Economist can be in real-life decision-making.
As someone who has worked in Coca-Cola and Nestlé for over 32 years, I’ve seen firsthand how economic analysis plays a key role in guiding firms—whether it's in analyzing business significance, identifying growth avenues, or aligning operations with data-backed strategies.
Sa larangan ng negosyo, mahalaga na hindi lang tayo marunong magbenta o mag-market—dapat marunong din tayong umintindi ng galaw ng ekonomiya. Dito pumapasok ang papel ng business economist—sila ang tumutulong sa atin na mag-plano, mag-analyze ng cost-benefit, at magbigay ng insight sa investment at strategic direction ng kumpanya.
In this presentation, we’ll show you how each of us—coming from the corporate world, public sector, architecture, and education—applies the tools and mindset of a business economist in different ways. Whether it's advising management on public perception, conducting market research, or understanding business cycles, this role is truly essential in today’s fast-changing environment.
Let me quickly introduce each of the member of my team as this will be our last presentation together, next subject will be our major subjects already. Let me introduce them, not just by title, but by the value they bring to the table.
