Welcome to the start of Future Island Megalopolis, a new Cities: Skylines 2 series focused on building a large-scale island city from the ground up.
In this episode, we begin on the Sothorys map created by AnasterianMH, laying down the core structure of the island. Residential, commercial, and industrial districts are established to form a complete foundation for future growth.
This is a fast-flow build series, with each episode running around 30 minutes. The focus is on steady progress, long-term planning, and watching the city evolve over time, combining timelapse construction with calm commentary.
In future episodes, we’ll move into refinement, transport networks, density, and the next stages of expansion as the island grows into a true megalopolis.
