Thomas Paterson - I, like too few others, went to go see The Suicide Squad this weekend. I loved it. I was shocked to see that it only made $26.5 million on its opening. That’s after Jungle Cruise posted $35 million last weekend, despite poorer reviews. It even had a decent hold this weekend. Is this because HBO Max, unlike Disney+, is offering this film for free past subscription cost? It’s got to be more than the pandemic right?
