We start off with the plan to knock out The Forlorn Watchman quest, so we head to the Silverhome on the Water to talk to Gilgondorin. He marks the location where the Watchman is usually seen on our map, and we set out for Niben Bay. When we exit the city, an Oblivion Gate has sprouted up, so we make a short detour to grab the Sigil Stone. Then we try taking out the Daedroth outside the gate... and have no luck.
After reloading, we give it another shot and end up glitching into the earth beneath us. Great. We reload again. Things get worse. We try again. Eventually, we find a save that works. We close the gate one more time, take out the Daedroth... and die once again. This is not going well.
Some time passes, and we finally get back on track toward Bawnwatch Camp. We walk on some water as a shortcut and locate the camp. When we arrive, there's no ghost or watchman in sight. After checking the time, we realize we have to wait before the Watchman appears. So we drop into the dungeon at Bawn to burn some time.
A Nether Lich is waiting near the entrance to greet us. We get him pretty low on health and are able to take him out before he gets us. Shortly after, a Gloom Wraith gets the best of us. This is NOT our day. We lose another life before finally getting our act together—somewhat. We proceed to clear out the dungeon while trying not to get Mark mad at us in the process.
After leaving the dungeon, we find out we still haven't burned enough time. So we wait a bit, rejoin Jeremy, and finally meet up with the Watchman. We follow him as he SLOWLY walks through the forest. When we catch up, he tells us to go to "the mouth of the panther," but we're not really sure where that is. So we head back to Gilgondorin, who fills us in on where to go next.
Traveling to Fort Irony, we search for "the mouth of the panther" and eventually find a ruined ship named the Emma May in Blackwood. We search around this ship for quite some time, failing miserably at finding a way inside—until we do some investigating. Turns out it's a random hole in the side of the ship.
As soon as we enter, a nasty Gloom Wraith is waiting for us and Jeremy. Poor Jeremy takes some heavy blows while we run away, but we don't get far before losing another life. We reload and try our best to save Jeremy but still struggle. These things keep silencing us! We run to hide, and somehow the wraiths disappear. With the coast clear, we descend deeper into the ship.
These Gloom Wraiths are NOT playing around on this ship! We run into a spirit named Gable the Traitor and somehow completely lose track of him. We search the levels of the ship until we find him again and send him to the afterlife. He drops a key, and we find the door it unlocks.
Inside the room, we find a skeleton in chains—the body of the Forlorn Watchman. Once we unlock his chains, the Watchman appears before us, thanks us for releasing his soul, and leaves a map as a reward. We're not about to go treasure hunting right now, so we pocket the map and make our way out of the ship.
Back in the swamplands, we realize that there's a map marker leading us directly to the treasure so we decide to go ahead and pick it up. It's not much, but it's something. Some bandits show up looking for that smoke, so we treat them to a barbecue. Once that's over, we end the episode.
