Описание: കേരളത്തില്‍ ഇത്തവണ കാലവര്‍ഷം മേയ് 26ഓടെ എത്താന്‍ സാദ്ധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്നാണ് കേന്ദ്ര കാലാവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പിന്റെ അറിയിപ്പ്. ചൂടിന് ശമനമായി കേരളത്തില്‍ മഴക്കാലമെത്തുകയാണ്. സാധാരണയായി ജൂണ്‍ ഒന്നിനാണ് കേരളത്തില്‍ കാലവര്‍ഷത്തിന് തുടക്കമാവുന്നത്. എന്നാല്‍ ഇത്തവണ പതിവിന് വിപരീതമായി ഒരാഴ്ച മുന്‍പുതന്നെ മണ്‍സൂണ്‍ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. ആന്‍ഡമാന്‍ നിക്കോബാര്‍ ദ്വീപുകളിലെ ചില ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ കാലവര്‍ഷം എത്തിക്കഴിഞ്ഞുവെന്നും കാലാവസ്ഥാ കേന്ദ്രം അറിയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്

In a major relief from the intense summer heat, the India Meteorological Department (MD) has announced that the southwest monsoon is expected to make an early onset over Kerala around May 26. While the traditional and 'normal' date for the monsoon's arrival over the state is June 1, this year's rainy season is set to commence nearly a week ahead of schedule. The weather agency further confirmed that conditions are highly favorable as the monsoon has already advanced into parts of the south Bay of Bengal, the Andaman Sea, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands
