It's been a bit but I'm but with a nice medium lengthed ambient session with a very simple yet effective setup.
Korg SQ-1 and Korg NTS-1.
These two can just go for days! I really enjoyed watching things unfold before me. being able to midi sync with just a standard aux cable is mindblowing. I think this setup would lend well to travelling. I may take it on an upcoming camping/glamping trip and try and get some nice outdoor footage. I wish the SQ-1 had better battery life to not rely on a USB battery but it's not the end of the world.
