It's a universal capacity - not submission, not silence, and not passivity.
But somewhere along the way, it started being translated into "be agreeable," "don't confront,"
"stay detached," and "never disrupt the peace."
In this video, I talk about how that interpretation can slowly make women shrink themselves in relationships - not because they lack confidence, but because they've learned to regulate their emotions before they're even expressed. What looks like maturity can sometimes be anticipatory self-editing.
