Fategarh Ram Temple is known as the Ayodhya of Odisha. This Ram Mandir is located on a hill near Fatehgarh Village of the Bhapur block and is about 40 km distance from Nayagarh town and 65 km from Bhubaneswar. Lord Ram, Lakshman and Mata Sita are worshipped as the main deities in this temple. The inauguration ceremony of this Ram temple was held on 22 January 2024, on Ayodhya Pran Pratishtha day. The construction of this temple started in 2017, and around 150 workers were involved in the temple work. Shri Ram temple was built at a cost of more than 10 crores with donations from the villagers of Bhapur, Fategad, and Shri Ram Seva Parishad. The height of the Rekha temple is about 65 feet, Bhadra 35 feet, and Mohan 25 feet, and it is located 1,632 feet above sea level.
The architecture of this Nayagarh Ram temple is similar to that of the Ganjam Maa Tara Tarini Temple, which is made of 'Baulamala' stone only. Apart from Lord Rama, the temple premises, Giri Govardhan, Surya Narayan Temple, Ganesha, Chandrasekhar, and Lord Hanuman are worshipped. Thousands of devotees from both the state and outside the state come to visit this temple.
According to local people, this Fatehgarh Ram Mandir has a historical legend. Before the construction of the temple, there was a Bhagabata Pitha on this hill. The people of this village were worshiping Lord Govardhan for rain. In 1912, during Lord Jagannath's Nabakalabara, a neem tree was collected from this forest for Lord Sudarshan. Chakradhar Pradhan of Fategarh village started building the temple on the hill, and then the villagers cooperated with him. The villagers of Fategarh formed a committee to commemorate this place and began to work on the temple soon after. Fatehgarh Ram Mandir is one of the famous temples in Nayagarh district. Parking spaces have been constructed at the top and bottom of the hill for tourists. To reach the temple from the bottom of the mountain, you can drive or walk up about 1 km
