සති කිහිපයක් පුරාවට පැවතී රෝගී තත්ත්වය කෙමෙන් පහවයන්නට වූයෙන්, මා මාගේ දිනපොත පෙරලන්නට වූයේ වනගත සුවය අත්විඳීමට ඉසව්වක් වීනම් එහි යාමේ අටියෙනි. තැනක් ගැන ඉවක් ලදොත් එය මාගේ දිනපොතේ අකුරු කිරීම කලක පටන් මවිසින් පුරුදු පුහුණු කලාවූවකි.

මාකන්දාව ද එසේ කනවැකී අකුරු කොට තිබූ සුන්දර පරිචයකි. කිහිපවරක් එහි යාමට උත්සාහ දැරූවත් ඒ හැම වරයකටම වර්ෂාව හරස් වින. සංචාරකයෙකුට වර්ෂාව ද ආශිර්වාදයක් වුවත් වැසි වනාන්තරයක දී නාකපන වැස්සක පහස සතුරකුටවත් හිමිවිය යුතු නැත.

කල්යල් මනාකොට ගැලපී තිබුනෙන් අප පසුදින ප්‍රභාතයේම ගමන පිටත් වුනෙමු. ගමන අතරවාරයේ උණුසුම් රොටියකින් ද යහමින් ඉඟුරු මුහුකල තේ කහටකින් සප්පායම් වූ අප අටේ හෝරාව හරි අඩක් වූ තැන තොටුපලට සේන්දු වුණෙමු. කැළණි ගඟෙන් එතෙර වී තොටියාගේ මහන්සියට සරිලන කාසි දී එතැන් පටන් අප මාකන්ද‌ෙ මුවදොර බලා ගමන් කළෙමු. එහි වූ කාර්යාලයෙන් අප සිව්දෙනාට ටිකට් පත් ලබා ගත් පසු හනි හනික මාකන්දාවට තුරුළු වුණෙමු.

මාකන්දාව වැසි වනාන්තරයක්. බොහෝ ගස්වැල් වලින් ගහන වූත් පක්ෂීන්ගෙන් සතාසීපාවාගෙන් ගහනවූත් මෙහි මයේ රාජකාරිය වූයේ දියඇලි බලා පියනැගීමයි... ♡
