Day 10: Grañón → Villafranca Montes de Oca
Another day on the Camino, and another reminder that kindness is alive and well 💛. After leaving the peaceful monastery floor in Grañón 🕯️, I made my way through open fields, quiet trails, and endless beauty 🌾🌤️. My legs were heavy, my energy fading — but the Camino had a surprise waiting.
A few days ago, I met Pablo and Stan, two amazing pilgrims from the U.S. 🇺🇸. They were planning to leave the Camino, misjudged how far they could walk in a day, and booked a hotel in Villafranca Montes de Oca. When they realized they wouldn’t make it, they tried to cancel — but couldn’t. So instead, they gifted the room to us 🙌. No catch, just a beautiful act of generosity.
After days of tiredness, long walks, sore feet, and sleeping on mats — this felt like absolute gold. I’m ending the night with a soft bed, a full heart, and deep gratitude for the people this journey brings into your life.
