Xinhai Mining Technology & Equipment Inc. provides comprehensive solutions for lead-zinc ore beneficiation. As vital non-ferrous metal resources, lead-zinc ores undergo five essential processing stages: crushing & screening, grinding & classification, flotation separation, concentrate dewatering, and tailings disposal.
The crushing circuit adopts a three-stage closed-loop process. Primary jaw crushers reduce raw ore to coarse fragments, followed by secondary and tertiary cone crushers for intermediate and fine crushing. Vibrating screens ensure the final product size is controlled within -12mm, creating optimal conditions for subsequent grinding. The crushing ratio design critically impacts the system's throughput and energy efficiency.
Grinding operations employ a closed-circuit system combining ball mills with spiral classifiers. Precise control of steel ball gradation and grinding density maintains the target fineness of 75%-85% passing 200 mesh. Classifier overflow density is stabilized at 28%-32%, achieving ideal flotation feed size while avoiding over-grinding and slime generation.
Flotation separation represents the core process, utilizing a preferential lead-zinc approach. Lead rougher flotation employs galena-specific collectors in a weakly alkaline environment (pH 8-9), followed by sphalerite activation for zinc cleaning in strong alkaline conditions (pH 10-11). The staged flotation circuit configuration ensures 8-10 minutes for roughing and 6-8 minutes for cleaning, producing lead concentrate grading above 55% and zinc concentrate exceeding 48%.
The dewatering system combines high-rate thickeners with ceramic filters. Concentrates are thickened to 60%-65% density before filtration reduces moisture to 8%-10%. Tailings disposal incorporates deep-cone thickeners and filter presses, achieving under 15% moisture content while water recycling systems maintain over 85% reuse efficiency.
Our project at a Peruvian lead-zinc mine demonstrates this system's effectiveness, delivering 92.3% lead recovery and 88.7% zinc recovery with 18% lower energy consumption per ton compared to conventional methods. Each technical phase reflects Xinhai's expertise in mineral processing innovation and equipment engineering.
