In this video I demonstrate how to parkerize metal. I used a knife that I made as a companion for my M1 Garand rifle, but the process shown can be used for gun parts or anything else as long as it's steel. Parkerizing isn't difficult by any means as long as you follow the direction to your specific parkerizing solution; but from what I researched, most solutions follow this procedure.
Note - inconsistent heat treatment may cause variations in parkerization color
