John’s Sophomore Guardian is some guy named Mason Carbell, who acts several years younger than him. His wolf ears crack John up, and when he stupidly messes up his age, he laughs at him. But surprisingly, Mason had no reaction. His carefree and indifferent visage gave John a weird feeling, and he couldn’t help but wonder if Mason was hiding something serious behind, just like Noah.

Speaking of Noah, John can’t get him out of his head. He’s worried sick about him, since the last time he saw him was when he and Sam visited him in the bathroom, where he was skipping class for the hundredth time. He finally left his mind when Mason bombarded him with the fact that he was somehow a model, his friend’s bad past, and some odd question. At first, John considered if Mason was handsome enough to be a model, but then realized what he had just asked.

Did he just ask him to pretend to be his boyfriend?!

Mason was respectful of John’s resistance and didn’t mention the question ever again. But one day, John saw Mason being backed in a corner by one of his fans. Something snapped within John when he saw the fan’s red and black Winger Wings. With a single burst of light, John was by Mason’s side, claiming to be his boyfriend to save him and subconsciously offering an indirect kiss. Now more embarrassed than before, Mason could only tell him what he had just done. But John had his own tough visage now, and was determined to help his now fake boyfriend with his problems, no matter how complicated they were deep down.
