Hundreds of Liverpool fans have gathered at Anfield to pay tribute to the club's forward Diogo Jota after he died in a car crash in northwestern Spain early on Thursday.
Authorities said the 28-year-old football star and his brother died in a car crash when their Lamborghini veered off the road and burst into flames, with footage showing the remains of the flipped-over burnt-out vehicle.
Devastated fans wept and laid flowers as they paid their respects for a man who just weeks earlier had celebrated winning the Premier League with the team.
