Описание: During the recording of the Beach Boys unreleased Smile album of 1966/67 acetates were made of certain song recordings, these acetates were part of the work in progress for the album which was originally scheduled for a January 1967 release but was abandoned in May 1967. Van Dyke Parks (Brian Wilson’s collaborator) obtained the acetates for his collection at the time which his previous wife Durrie then obtained and eventually auctioned off in 2013. The acetates (6 x 10” & 2 x 7”) contained various parts of versions of songs already released on session box sets etc, however there are unheard and unreleased segments of a number of songs not available on any other recordings. They auctioned off again in December 2025 for approximately $32,000 and we hope one day to hear them all.
