This is the companion set to the Wayne Shorter Quartet set from the same date and venue in NYC. It was a double bill of the leading jazz-rock figures of that time, Chick and Wayne. This original version of the Elektric band was pretty amazing. When you see videos of this band, Weckl, Pattitucci and Henderson look like they were barely out of high school, playing like no one's business. I got this tape from a tape-trading pal who recorded it.
