This is the cast skull of Megantereon clutridens.
A saber-toothed cat that lived in Europe, Asia and Asia.
The functional morphology of these predators was unlike anything alive today. Despite being smaller that its Smilodon cousins, Megantereon was a massively powerful and scarily efficient killer beast.
A beast with which we have shared evolutionary history.
I will be soon making one, follow along as I post more information, updates, illustrations and Sabertooth banter.
