Scott McGill--"The Chord Book Vol. II"-Major and Dim. Triads (I /VII) 3456 and 1345--4 note voicings

Описание: This video covers the Tonic I and Diminished VII triads and their inversions with doublings on the 3456 string set in D using four note voicings with a note doubled.

To get these, simply move the top voice to the next chord tone, the bottom voice, the middle two voices, then the bottom voice. For example, start on D Major -

DF#AD :
becomes DF#AF#
becomes DADF#
becomes F#ADF#

This process repeats until you arrive back at the first chord voicing so one can access three voicings from each bass note/inversion and get three chord forms that contains all three triad tones with a doubling.

How to access all of the inversions and resolve these chords is covered and then String Transference is applied to convert the 3456 chords to 1345 easily. Musical resolutions are demonstrated and the video illustrates how basic triads can sound resonant and beautiful in the simplest musical passages that can sound great with a clean tone, using delay, or even overdriven.
