Do you ever struggle to keep a conversation flowing in English?

You’ve probably heard phrases like “heart-pounding,” “a nail-biter,” “it kept me on the edge of my seat,” “a white-knuckle ride,” or “gripping.” Each of these expresses the same basic idea—an exciting or thrilling movie/experience—but in a slightly different way.

That variety is found in real English conversations, and if you only know one way to respond, you’ll often feel stuck, uncertain, or even go silent.

But if you’ve trained yourself with a range of automatic responses, you’ll always have something to say. For example, when you’re not sure what word to use, you can smoothly say: “What I mean is…”, “Let me think about it”, “How can I put this…”, “What’s the word for…?”, or “Let me give you an example.”

This is what I call "automatic response training." It’s not about memorizing one “perfect phrase.” It’s about preparing yourself for the variety of real life—so you can express yourself clearly and keep conversations flowing naturally. :)
