Описание: A tragic incident occurred during the Kadiri Narasimha Swamy Rathotsava Stampede in Kadiri, located in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. The accident happened while thousands of devotees were pulling the chariot of Kadiri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, one of the most famous temples dedicated to Lord Narasimha. During the Kadiri Narasimha Swamy Rathotsava Stampede, a devotee accidentally slipped and got trapped under the wheel of the moving chariot. As devotees rushed to rescue him, panic broke out among the crowd, leading to a stampede-like situation near the chariot.

In the incident, six devotees were injured, including the person who got trapped under the chariot wheel. While most of the injured suffered minor injuries, officials confirmed that one devotee is in critical condition and is currently receiving treatment.

The Kadiri Narasimha Swamy Rathotsava Stampede took place in the presence of lakhs of devotees who had gathered to witness the grand annual temple chariot festival. Police and temple authorities immediately intervened to control the crowd and assist the injured devotees.

Authorities are reviewing safety arrangements to ensure such incidents do not occur during large religious festivals.
