On this edition of the Special Edition with Sid McCoy radio program, circa 1981, Teena Marie discusses producing her own music, Rick James' encouragement, working with Richard Rudolph, being inspired by Sarah Vaughan, and recording the 'It Must Be Magic' album. This interview was a promotional vehicle for the then-new 'It Must Be Magic' album.
I have cut out most of the commercially available songs* (see list below) so that 1) unintended copyright infringement is avoided; 2) this clip's time comes in under YouTube's 15-minute upload limit; 3) the interview is the main focus. Uploaded for educational/research purposes.
