Dr. Sowjanya Vasista is the founder & CEO of Abhyaas. Initially, she did her bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering. With her undying love for kids, she moved out of her IT profession and started what she is best at, connecting with the children. Started off with 3 kids, Abhyaas was just a learning space. Then she got herself certified in psychology with child and adolescent counseling as her major. Her main goal was to bridge the gap between parents and children in terms of education. Her ideas about how to go around teaching a child about a particular topic are fascinating. She not only makes sure that the child understands a certain topic, she goes above and beyond to make children love their subjects. Once she saw potential in Abhyaas, she started franchising out the module to many preschools in it across India. She is also an image consultant for many women based startups in Bangalore. She has received many awards and accolades through the time. The most recent ones are Indian leadership award for being the best CEO for a female startup company. She was also the guest of honor for Ms. India Asia Pacific. She is a voracious reader, a strong kickboxer, and a mountain observer. She is a philanthropist, she believes in spreading love and kindness. She with Abhyaas conducts social awareness programs related to sanitation, mensuration, education, and importance of literacy. She has gone around into most of the slums in and around Bangalore, teaching women how to sign and has also taught them how to read and write. Her ultimate goal is to make the world a better place for every living being to live.
