During this period the specimen of blood is injected with a preservative which will keep the specimen of blood stable for many months.

The specimen is then placed in a refrigerated unit until it is ready to be tested, many weeks later.

Waits of up to 3 months from the moment they receive the blood specimen to the day they test it are not uncommon.
Once the test is complete you will receive a report from the Medical Bureau, in the post, detailing the result of the test and whether any illegal substances were found in your blood.
