This is a customer service story more than anything.
Toyota refused to honor factory warranty, claiming this is excessive use for a 2021 Tacoma TRD Off Road, with zero after factory mods.
It's a strange thing when the manufacture tries to convince me their product isn't built to handle basic truck activities, while me(the customer) tries to convince them that I believe in their product and I know it can and was built for this type of thing. My challenge to Toyota is, Use this video for a TV commercial & online ad campaign for one year and state clearly that this is excessive use for a Tacoma. Then report back to me what your sales numbers were before, durning, and after that year. We all know the answer......
If a Tacoma TRD Off Road truly cannot handle this, should anyone be buying one?
My second question is. If a manufacturer won't stand behind their warranty, do you really have a warranty?
