Pastor Jonathan Ember continued the Here Comes the Bride series with a message titled “The White Dress.” He taught that the Church, as the Bride of Christ, is called to be presented to Him in purity and splendor, yet there are things that can diminish that beauty. Spots represent the ongoing need for sanctification, the process of learning to walk in righteousness, not by our own effort, but through the righteousness Christ has given us. Wrinkles reflect a faith that has grown dry or routine over time, where passion has cooled and devotion has faded—something only Jesus can renew when we return to Him.
Blemishes point to areas in how we live and function as the Church that still need refinement. Jesus walks among His churches, lovingly correcting what no longer fits, cleansing what is stained, and shaping His Bride so that He may present her to Himself in glory.
