As part of our commitment to green initiatives and with a goal to have two-thirds of all trips in Vancouver made by walking, cycling, and transit by 2030, the City of Vancouver is upgrading major infrastructure on Richards Street. The project includes a new protected two-way bike lane from Cordova to Pacific that will fill in gaps in the downtown protected bike network and building the city’s first large scale blue-green system.
