1) An unidentified actor plays Reuben, a country bumpkin who arrives at a hotel and strange things happen. He then tries to put out the gas lamp as if it were a candle and goes to bed, ignoring the very clear warning on the sign: "Don't blow out the gas". The next day, his funeral procession is seen passing in front of the hotel.
3) This was one of the first films filmed on the premises of the new Edison studio in Manhattan, leaving aside the old Black Maria studios. This film never received an official title. Only a promotional slide of a lantern projection presented the chosen title, referring to the character's death due to a gas leak.

2) Um ator não-identificado protagonizando Reuben, um caipira que chega a um hotel e coisas estranhas acontecem. Em seguida ele tenta apagar o lampião à gás como se fosse uma vela e vai deitar, ignorando o aviso bem claro na placa: "NÃO APAGUE O GÁS". No dia seguinte vê-se seu cortejo fúnebre passando em frente ao hotel.
3) Este foi um dos primeiros filmes filmados nas dependências do novo estúdio Edison em Manhattan, deixando de lado os antigos estúdios Black Maria. Este filme nunca chegou a ganhar título oficial. Apenas um slide promocional de projeção de lanterna, apresentou o título escolhido, fazendo referência à morte do personagem por vazamento de gás.
