Today’s video is a bit different than usual, because I am probably BUSY RIGHT NOW playing Legends ZA. I will analyse Mega Meganium’s design and stats to understand this gamechanging high-femme makeover that was given to the most unfairly hated starter of all time. Mega Evolution is all about doubling down on original design motifs, an opportunity for designers to update older works with newer concepts and ideas, and I want to understand how that comes into play in Mega Meganium. Also try to find where the Sugimori Theorem applies, which is GameFreak trying on purpose to not make any Pokemon too cool or too cute, always throwing them off balance to make it more memorable.
