Premature Ventricular contraction (PVCs)

Описание: In this Medical animation, we're going to discuss premature ventricular contractions (PVCs). PVCs are short, sharp contractions of the heart muscle that can occur at any time, but are most commonly seen in people over the age of 40.ECG shows the electrical activity of the heart on a graph, and PVCs are seen on an ECG as a series of sharp peaks. PVCs can be caused by many different things, but the most common is a heart problem called heart failure. Symptoms of heart failure include fatigue, shortness of breath, weight loss, and increased heart rate. Treatment for PVCs typically involves medication and/or surgery, but your doctor will usually tailor a treatment plan specifically.
