DURHAM REGIONAL POLICE’S HELICOPTER ASSIST PETERBOROUGH POLICE TO SEARCH THE DOWNTOWN CORE

Описание: Early Saturday morning Peterborough OPP assisted Peterborough Police and Durham Regional Police Service while looking for a vehicle on the 115. At this time it’s not know exactly why officers were searching for this vehicle, it is believed it was involved in a pursuit and I have been told police may of been investigating a possible kidnapping but none of this has been confirmed. Several emails have been sent into Peterborough Police’s media officer but no details have been released. During the search police began pinning a cell phone that was inside the vehicle which put the location of the phone downtown Peterborough. Officers searched the down town core, alleyways parking lots and pulled over cars that were travelling, it’s not know if anyone was located. Durham Regional Police’s helicopter (Air1) assisted in the search as they circled downtown Peterborough from above for approximately 30 mins. This is all the information that is know at this time but I will continue to try to get more information and post it.
