In Genesis 1:26–28, God declares that mankind was created in His image and given dominion. But what exactly does that mean?
Does dominion only apply to spiritual authority over sickness and disease? Or does it extend into everyday life — our homes, our decisions, our work, our thoughts, our families, our environment?
In this live Q&A, we’re diving deep into the original context of Genesis 1 and exploring:
• What “dominion” meant in the Hebrew understanding
• What circumstances Adam was placed in when dominion was first given
• How the Fall affected that dominion
• What daily life areas are included
• How this applies to believers today
Is dominion about control? Responsibility? Authority? Stewardship? All of the above?
Join us as we carefully examine the text and seek clarity from Scripture.
Other questions we will be discussing are:
Gen_19:17-22). Clearly the Lord knows what is best and how to protect us so why would Lot second guess and choose a more “safer” route? Originally, Zoar was one of the many cities of Sodom that would be destroyed but the Lord accepted Lot’s request to go there instead. Do you think that goes back to what Abraham was pleading with the Lord in Gen_18:20-33 with there being someone or a few that were righteous?
Regarding healing, I always hear, “ if you’re sick and you are in pain, get up and do things in faith because faith without works is dead. I personally don’t believe God is a God of, “You need to get up while in pain to prove you believe”. Sometimes the pain is a lot. What are your thoughts. I’ve been told, “ get up when you’re in pain and resist” But the pain is unbearable. How would you tell someone who is in constant pain to resist or how to have faith that’s not dead?
Is Zec_9:13 predicting the Maccabean Revolt? Was the Hasmonean Dynasty led by God and part of His plan?
