The first thing we did in Ushuaia, Argentina was a boat trip on the Beagle Channel. We cruised around Bird Island (Isla de los Pajaros) with terns and Cormorants, and Sea Lion Island (Isla de los Lobos) with a colony of sleepy sea lions. We then saw the Lighthouse at the End of the World. With exceptional scenery of Tierra Del Fuego and city views of Ushuaia with the tall granite mountain peaks above it, a Beagle. Channel Tour is a must-do!
Named after HMS Beagle, the channel was visited by Charles Darwin during the ship's second trip. It is located at the extreme tip of South America. It is a great place for wildlife watching.
