Here's Ross Valory's classic line from the Journey tune "Stone in Love," released July 17, 1981 from the Escape LP.
The pitch is dropped to be closer to A=440, in case you need the clip for practice.
From what I understand, this was recorded with an Ovation Magnum IV, played through an eventide harmonizer, set up basically as a chorus. Some of the parts sound similar to a fretless, but this is a fretted bass.
Isolated like this, I hear more ghost notes, and what sounds like the string hitting the pickup. Let me know your thoughts!
