Описание: Train Crashes Into Semi Trailer - Who's at Fault? Based on the video, I think it's safe to say the semi driver lost traction coming out of the loading dock. Personally I think that's a horrible spot to have an access point directly in front of a railroad track. Especially at night I can see someone opening up wide if there is a truck in the way and getting stuck. That said, CDL drivers need to be extra cautious at all times to avoid these situations.

It also looks like the train is automated, in which case I'm not sure how the braking system works if something is in the path. All things considered it's good news no one was injured. The tractor took a small beating with the broken rim, but the trailer is what took the worst of it. Safe to say that thing is TOAST. At least the tomatoes came out unharmed!

For the recovery, I knew that step 1 would be to split the trailer from the train. This was a bit tricky since the entire front floor and support of the trailer was destroyed. If I had too much upward pressure, you risk the side wall coming out with the train. The opposite is also true if I didn't have enough pressure. Luckily we did it in 1 shot with no further damage to the trailer.

The next step was to disconnect, then recovery sling the trailer to back into the loading dock. This is where Java Joe and his experience in recovery towing came in clutch. Teamwork all around made this crazy looking situation into a relatively easy job!
