This is a short look at driving south on New York Route 9 through the village of Lake George. You can spot some of the many motels that lined the lake, the old train station, and some of the tourist attractions, including Fort William Henry and Gaslight Village. Then it's on to Animal Land (where you can "Phone from car"), finally ending up further south at Fairytale Land in Saratoga Springs.
Lake George was crowded but nothing like it gets today - but there was still a police officer directing traffic instead of a traffic light!
