During our recent visit to Japan, we visited some of the Pokemon Center locations whilst travelling around various cities. In this video we visit 4 Pokemon Center locations. We visit the Pokemon Center Shibuya, Pokemon Center Tokyo DX, Pokemon Center Osaka DX and Pokemon Center Skytree Town. Just us as we take a quick look at each of the stores, what sort of merchandise they have available and if any have any Pokemon cards in stock for us to purchase.
We first visited the Pokemon Center Shibuya which is located in the Shibuya ward of Tokyo. This Pokemon Center is located in the Shibuya Parco building on the 6th floor. It features a Mewtwo as its mascot.
The second Pokemon Center that we visited was the Pokemon Center Osaka DX. This Pokemon Center is located on the 9th Floor of the Daimaru Shinsaibashi main building. This stores mascots featured the 3 legendary birds, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres. There is also a Pokemon Cafe next door.
The third Pokemon Center that we visited was Pokemon Center Tokyo DX. This Pokemon Center was located in Nihombashi in the Nihombashi Takashimaya East Building on the 5th floor. It featured Snorlax, Pikachu and Mew as the mascots. There is also a Pokemon Cafe next door.
The fourth Pokemon Center that we were able to visit was Pokemon Center Skytree Town. This Pokemon Center was located in Sumida at the Skytree Town building below the Tokyo Skytree tower. It featured Pikachu and Rayquaza as the mascots.
Our top tip for visiting any Pokemon Center location in Japan is to visit early in the day. We managed to get to some stores at opening and they had very few people. Weekdays are also less busy vs. weekends. We made the mistake of visiting later in the day and the store was very busy and had long queues to check out. A ticket is required for the Design Lab, so get there early and get a ticket to join the queue straight away if you wish to create a custom t-shirt on the Design Lab kiosks.
During our visits to each of the Pokemon Center locations we managed to purchase various merchandise such as stickers, pins and bags. Each of the stores we visited also had Pokemon cards in stock, but each store had limitations on the sets that were available. Some of the sets that were available at different Pokemon Center's were Inferno X, Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia, Terastal Festival, Stella Miracle, Night Wanderer, Cyber Judge and Wild Force. The Pokemon cards are held behind the registers. So ask the staff member when you pay for items for the Pokemon TCG packs that you wish to purchase. There is a sign at the register which shows which sets are in stock and the booster pack purchase limits per set. Stay tuned to the end of the video to see what Pokemon Trading Card Game booster packs we picked up and what other items we purchased.
Subtitles / closed caption are available to show on screen descriptions. We use automated translation services for various languages other than English.
