How much do you think this snare was?

Back in April, I had my first experience playing a bronze snare drum via being able to demo one from a friend.

Unlike other metal snare drums I‘ve had the opportunity to play with, I have not had the degree of body, punch, and fullness that a Bronze shell delivers.

This experience has resonated with me ever since that moment, and I’ve been thinking of getting a bronze snare drum. Although, I had to have a good reason to get one and not just get one to get one.

Well, the moment came when @rickymancruz (Tech director at the church I apply at) told me how much he loved that bronze snare. It would be great to have for the upcoming Live album.

Now that I had a reason, the search was on.

At first, I looked at newly-released bronze snare drums, and during that process, I came across the Pearl SensiTone Bronze snare drums.

I didn’t even know that they had ever made a Bronze snare drum, but sure enough, I found a catalog from 1998 that showed their whole snare drum lineup, and this snare was there!

I couldn't be happier with the choice and can't wait to experiment to see what this snare drum can do!!
