Nakawa East member of Parliament Eng.Ronald Balimwezo has asked NEMA to desist from selective implementation of wetland restoration
This follows his tour Bugolobi Mpanga Close- wetland where he found workers of Majestic Commodities Limited backfilling the wetland with marram
Nakivubo wetland at Bugolobi-Mpanga Close is one of the wetlands that the runoff water from the areas of Nakawa MUBs, Mbuya and the Surrounding areas drains.
However there have been complaints over encroachment on this wetland by Majestic Commodities Limited.
In response Nakawa East member of Parliament Eng. Ronald Balimwezo visited the area to ascertain the complaints of the residents over alleged encroachment
At site, were graders and excavators filling marram into part of the wetland, an operation that was led one identified as Engineer Arther
