Описание: The Byron Bay Lighthouse, also known as the Byron Bay Lightstation, was constructed at the turn of the 19th century as a beacon to ships passing the protruding cape of Australia's most easterly point. It was manned by resident lighthouse keepers up until 1989, when it became automated. It remains active and is a striking feature of the rugged coastline cliffs of this area. It is accessible by vehicle or by foot and provides powerful views of the coastline, north and south, and back over Byron Bay to an awesome backdrop of rainforest rich hinterlands.
