During a debate on the 'Genocide Recognition Bill', Lord Darzi, a British lord of Iraqi-Armenian descent gave his support for the bill by educating the house of Lords on his family's experience of the Armenian Genocide, as well as by conveying his dismay at the U.K.'s lack of recognition towards it.
Note that the bill is not specifically relating to the Armenian Genocide, rather the bill is to make it easier and less bureaucratic for genocides to be officially determined by U.K. courts.
