A knitting process video of a chevron (zigzag) blanket.
This is a blanket that’s never boring to knit — simple, rhythmic, and visually engaging.
The chevron stitch is simple yet striking and works beautifully for a large, cozy blanket.
Perfect for using leftover and mixed yarns.
The zigzag pattern is created by alternating increases and decreases.
Right side row:
6 knit stitches, increase, knit, increase, 6 knit stitches, decrease — knit 3 stitches together so that the middle stitch stays on top.
Wrong side row: purl all stitches. Also slip the second-to-last stitch without knitting it.
The edge consists of two stitches: I slip the first stitch at the beginning of the row and also slip the second-to-last stitch without knitting it.
I’m using wool-blend yarns with different weights — from 200 to 300 meters per 100 grams.
Thinner yarn is held double.
Needles: 5 mm.
I estimate I’ll need about 1600 grams of yarn in total.
The planned size is about 180 × 200 cm.
