Collage artist Margo Hammond invites kids to create a Secret Garden collage, using your imagination and images cut or torn out of magazines and junk mail.
Margo shares the history of collage art, and how there are no rules – you can combine any images you like, in any kind of arrangement that feels right to you. She explains how to recycle cardboard boxes, pizza box tops and styrofoam packing as collage surfaces, and start a beautiful collage using a picture of an animal, or your favorite color.
Recommended materials – a glue stick, old magazines or junk mail, cardboard boxes or paper, and your imagination!
