2018 Yamaha Star Venture Review

2018 Yamaha Star Venture is a full-fledged modern luxury tourer with an air-cooled, 113-cubic-inch powerplant. Yamaha researched luxury touring customers, who stated a desire for something that would fall conceptually in between full-on retro tourers.

The star venture featuring a torque-rich 1854cc air-cooled V-twin, 8 valve with 6 transmission. The engine is smooth, effortless passing power even when fully loaded. The six-speed gearbox features ratios chosen to make the most of the huge low-end torque available from the 1854cc engine. The Star Venture’s exhaust system features a twin-muffler design with the throaty V-twin exhaust note that custom touring fans seek.

Mounted high in the cockpit for improved visibility, the 7-inch full-color LCD display puts a huge array of information and control at the rider’s fingertips. Controlled via touchscreen, handlebar controls or voice commands. This infotainment package gives the rider access to vehicle control and data, a range of audio sources, gps systems and wireless Bluetooth® communications options.

The main steel frame makes use of casting and forgings to place material exactly where needed for optimal rigidity, while the rear subframe makes use of Yamaha’s advanced aluminum die-casting techniques to reduce weight and centralize mass even further.

The Front Suspension is 46mm telescopic fork; 5.1-in travel while the braking system uses a dual hydraulic disc, 298mm; Unified Brake System and ABS.

The Rear Suspension is Single shock with remote preload adjustment; 4.3-in travel and the rear braking systems is Hydraulic disc, 320mm; Unified Brake System and ABS.

The Star Venture features all-LED lighting to maximize illumination. LED brake lights and turn signals boost visibility, while the quad LED headlight assembly punches a huge hole in the darkness with crisp, bright light.

Star Venture features a cavernous 37.3 gallons of volume across the saddlebags, Tour Trunk and upper and lower fairing storage compartments.

Star Venture dimensions is 106.3 in Length, 39.9 in Width and 55.5 - 59.1 in Height. The Seat Height is 27.4 in, Wheelbase is 67.6 in, and the Wet Weight is 957 lb for standard type and 963 lb for Transcontinental type.

The Star Venture will come with 2 option colors: Granite Gray and - Raspberry Metallic.
It also comes with 2 optional type: Standard Type with the price $24,999 and Transcontinental Option Package with the price about $26,999.
Yamaha stated they will available in the last Desember 2017.
