Our adventure starts with unique roadside Munnar caves and numerous scenic viewpoints and photo points.
We visit the vibrant Munnar Rose Garden (Entrance fee: ₹60 per person, note that extra fees apply for DSLR/professional cameras) and the fun-filled Elephant Park.

Next, we deep-dive into Munnar’s famous tea culture at the Madupatty Tea Factory. Watch how tea is made from leaf to cup, taste incredibly fresh tea at their counter, and shop for exotic blends at their Chai Bazaar. We also stop by the Sun Moon Valley Boating Center for activities and souvenirs, and try our voices at the beautiful Echo Point by the lake.
The Highlight of the Day: Eravikulam National Park 🦬🐐

We take the official bus ride to the top of the mountain for breathtaking, misty views of the "idli tea mountains." This park is famous for the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (mountain goat). We were incredibly lucky to see them up close—one right next to our bus, and another that just walked past us on the road as we were returning!

While hiking, we were stunned to see Indian Wild Bison grazing on top of the mountain amidst the heavy mist—a truly breathless sight. We also drank sweet, fresh water directly from a natural spring on the mountain and passed a small, serene Shiva temple on the way.
