A weekend group ride to Gerik, Perak, taking the quieter backroads from Ipoh through Tg Rambutan, Chemor, Sungai Siput and Kuala Kangsar.
The KL boys met me in Ipoh before we headed north and spent the night at Le Rizq Homestay, Gerik.
It was an atypical ride — no rush, no long-distance target — just good roads, good company, dinner conversations, and an overnight stop before riding again the next morning.
Plans to ride up to Kota Bharu for breakfast had to be shelved due to weather concerns. Instead, we rode out early and headed back towards Sungai Siput for breakfast, before parting ways.
Simple ride. Great memories.
